Join us on a three-day trip to Guatemala! Our Quick Trips are packed full of hands-on service, conversation with community members, and prayer. We are able to make a huge impact in the lives of Guatemalan children and families in a short amount of time. Like past participants, you will also have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with God and learn more about yourself.
During your visit, you will serve meals to hundreds of children by volunteering at our Feeding Centers. You’ll work side by side Transforming Futures staff and community members in the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, helping us finish projects that truly change people’s lives, such as distributing shoes to children, laying a concrete floor, or installing water filters. While in the Garbage Dump, you’ll hear the stories of those who live there and pray with them.
Transforming Futures President Pablo Villagrán, who often leads the Quick Trips, says one of the most powerful experiences for him is to witness participants’ eyes being opened to the realities of extreme poverty and to hear them reflect on their own blessings.
You’ll also have the chance to grow closer to God. Each day, you’ll join us in a devotional and reflect on what you’ve witnessed, experienced, and learned.
