Dear founding families,
Thank you for supporting our vision to help hundreds of children living in poverty around the garbage dump of Guatemala City.
Ever since I started the feeding center in the garbage dump I dreamed of supporting our children’s education as well. I know that education is important for our children to have better opportunities in life. Today my dream is becoming a reality and it’s making my heart feel so full.
Our new educational program will provide tutoring to the children each day before or after school and help with their homework. This program will also help develop their learning skills. We are currently supporting around 10 children in 1st and 2nd grade, but our goal is to expand this program to more children.
Having the children coming in for educational support also allows me to share words of encouragement and bible stories with them. It has become very clear to myself and our staff that after providing our children with food, supporting their educational formation is the next step in transforming their futures and providing them with the tools they need to work in jobs outside of the garbage dump.
I believe this is the beginning of something great for our children.

2 Feeding Centers are feeding 400 children and 18 older people in need of hot and nutritious meals.
After-school program: 11 children are now part of our after-school program to help them with their homework and keep them safe in our place.
