New School supplies

Dear Founding Families and friends,

We are so excited to be part of the educational development of the children that we served. Ever since, we partner with Pastor Mercedez, we wanted to complement the feeding program with an educational program. We started with a little group of children last year by supporting their learning skills by helping them to do their homework. Today, we are serving more than 20 children; investing in giving them a space to do their homework, they obtain free school supplies, Spiritual growth with a staff devoted to their development.

Recently, we provided 20+ children with new school supplies and by doing so; we help the children to ensure they have all the necessary implements for the school year. In addition, Transforming Futures is supporting their parents because most of them live with less than $5 a day, and if they buy a bag of school supplies can really hurt their family finances. For Pastor Mercedez and I has been a blessing to get to invest in the education of the children from the communities around the garbage dump of Guatemala.

The parents of the children in the educational program were thankful for the support that this represents. We are transforming the education of children because of your support and prayers! On behalf of parents, staff from the educational program and Pastora Mercedez, we want to thank you for partnering with us to transform their futures.

As the new school year starts with our children attending to 9 different public schools in 2020, we have the need for more school supplies, computers, Internet service, books and uniforms for the educational development of our children. Would you consider making a donation today to help us get them all the necessary supplies they need?

You can donate today and transform the future of children living in the garbage dump of Guatemala City.

About us: Transforming Futures is an organization that is feeding 400 children every day in the biggest garbage dump located in Central America. A place where most people depend partially or completely on recycling materials and collecting food waste to survive in extremely poverty at the garbage dump. We are a 501c3 organization based in Fenton, Michigan. We were established in 2019 to transform the futures of children and adolescents living in poverty and vulnerable situations in Guatemala, by investing in their nutrition, education and personal development.
