Thank you for supporting our vision to help hundreds of children living in poverty around the garbage dump area of Guatemala City. It’s been 8 years since I started helping children in need in my neighborhood and God has been so faithful in always showing me his guidance and provisions. As we start sharing our journey in transforming the future of many children in the garbage dump community, I wanted to thank you for believing in us in making a difference in Guatemala.
I always say that when I see these children, I see myself because at 9 years old I became responsible of feeding my 3 siblings because my mom was dealing with drug addiction problems and my dad abandoned us when we were little. At that early age, I used to go down to the garbage dump every day to find food for my siblings. I understand how it feels to be hungry and not have certainty of where I was going to eat with my family. This is why your support is making a difference in reducing hunger and uncertainty of food in the garbage dump.
