IMPACT

It Starts With a Meal. It Becomes a Future.

In partnership with Casa del Pan, a local Christian organization led by Pastora Mercedes, we provide daily meals and spiritual mentorship to children living in extreme poverty near the Guatemala City Garbage Dump.

Every day, more than 500 children receive not just a meal but also care, hope, and the love of Christ. In 2021, we served an average of 530 children daily, reaching an estimated 750 people when including their families

Why It Matters

Hunger Isn’t Just Physical. It Affects the Mind, the Heart, and the Future.

Without daily, nutritious food, children suffer the long-term effects of chronic malnutrition—impacting their growth, focus, and ability to succeed in school. Guatemala has one of the highest rates of chronic child malnutrition in the world, affecting nearly half of all children.
#4
Guatemala ranks #4 globally for chronic child malnutrition.
Transforming Futures uplifts Guatemala’s most vulnerable youth: orphans who have been abused or abandoned and children who live in extreme poverty.
Transforming Futures, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2019, equips teenage orphans in Guatemala with job skills and emotional support as they transition out of orphanages. In addition, we provide daily meals to hundreds of children living around one of Guatemala City’s largest garbage dumps. Transforming Futures Guatemala is officially registered with the Superintendence of Banks of Guatemala and complies with all regulations to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism, ensuring transparency and integrity in every aspect of our work.
